This drawstring skirt was made using a true Vintage fabric, left over from the 70's. It's a shorter skirt - perfect for summer - and the waist goes out to 38" when the entire drawstring is let out.
There is a pocket on the left hip, which has a cute little eyelet trim that runs across it. The pocket is stitched on with stabilizer behind it. This helps to keep the pocket from ripping the skirt as easily, when heavy things are put in them. I also did a green contrast stitch around the pocket, which was very popular in the 70's ;)
The sunflower appliques turned out awesome! I think they really make the skirt. They are heat bonded and tightly satin stitched to last a lifetime!
And last, but certainly not least ~ The bottom hem of this skirt is finished off with a little band of eyelet, to give it just the right touch!
